To provide homeowners with a superior quality roof and professional service which is backed, in writing, by our 10 year, fully transferable, limited warranty*. Our commitment to our customers does not end until we know that you are completely satisfied. How do you know you are purchasing a quality roof when all new roofs look the same? Our experience has repeatedly shown that you should not install a new roof over an existing roof. A "second layer" may look fine, but it can actually shorten the life expectancy of the new roof by trapping moisture under the new layers. This causes premature deterioration of the new material. So, we do not install a new roof over an existing roof. Second, you need to visually inspect the bare wood (i.e., "decking" or "planking") to check for rot or deterioration of the roofing subsurface. If the old roof is not removed, you will never know if there are any "hidden" problems. We always start with bare wood. Third, we install all new drip edge material and, on the bottom edge of the roof, a full 6 ft. of ice and water shield. If there is a wall tie-in, then we use a 1ft. layer of ice and water shield under the flashing to ensure a leakproof seam. We use 6 nails per shingle, so they won't blow off. We reflash all chimneys, where applicable, and install a hand nailed "hip over" style ridge vent. In our experience, this ridge vent system not only looks better, but more importantly, it does not leak, unlike the cheaper "builder's grade" aluminum ridge vents |
